Why our family no longer celebrates Christmas (and still loves the Savior) Part II

In Part II we will discover that December 25th was actually the birthday of many pagan gods throughout the centuries beginning with Nimrod. Also we’ll see how the first time December 25th was ever celebrated as ‘Christmas’ and the birth of Messiah was in the 4th century when Constantine simply declared it be so. When he merged the already pagan celebration “Saturnalia” (celebration of other gods, Saturn, the sun/Nimrod, etc) with so called “Christianity”.

About 2,200 years before the birth of Messiah, Noah’s great grandson, Nimrod along with his wife Semiramis, built the Tower of Babel (Genesis 10:10, 11:9) and the Babylonian Empire which combined their pagan religion with their form of government. They worshiped the stars, sun, and the moon, and they sacrificed their babies to Moloch (satan). Nimrod in an attempt to become “God” declared himself the god of the sun and Semiramis was the goddess of the moon (also known as the “Queen of Heaven”) and the people of the Babylonian Empire worshiped them as such. The story goes that Noah’s son Shem was so angry about this, that he had Nimrod killed and his body parts were delivered to different provinces within Babylon as a warning to those who worshiped Moloch. Why our family no longer celebrates Christmas (and still loves the Savior) Part III

I would just like to reiterate again, these posts are very brief summaries of the pagan roots of Christmas. I encourage you to watch the videos provided in these posts and visit the links as well.  If you really desire to know the truth about the holiday we know as Christmas you will dig and study for yourself. The information contained in these posts are simply a starting point for your research. I pray you continue your study and allow the Holy Spirit to grant sight to your eyes concerning these truths.

So, how does the Elohim (God) of the universe, Creator of all feel about using pagan and man ways to worship Him and His Son, Messiah (that is what Christmas is all about right?)

In Deuteronomy 12, Elohim is warning His people about false gods.

…take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.’ You shall not worship the LORD your God in that way; for every abomination to the LORD which He hates they have done to their gods for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods”
Deuteronomy 12:30-31

Elohim cast the Canaanites out of the Promised Land because of their pagan idolatrous practices. They worshiped Ba’al, or Nimrod, Tammuz, the sun god, the pagan Messiah, the god of wine and revelry. They worshiped the evergreen tree, and used it as a symbol of their god. They observed December 25, in worship of the waning sun, and their sun-god divinity. This whole religious system stemmed from ancient Babylon, the root of all heresy and apostasy. Continue reading

Forsaking the lie, NOT the assembly

* Note – I use the covenant names of The Father and The Son in this post. For a study on the true names click here. Also, I have used 2 different Bible versions throughout this post as noted. To learn more about the ISR98 Bible version used click here.

I originally started this blog post with the title “When you find yourself without a church home” but, that is no longer a fully accurate statement for my family…not after all we’ve been shown by the Holy Spirit. At this point in our walk with Yahuah, it’s a choice not just happenstance. I will discuss the details of those revelations in a separate post I am working on simply called “Why we came out of the church”.  But, for this post I specifically want to address the scripture most widely known and misused within “Christianity” regarding church attendance, Hebrews 10:25.

This verse has caused much grief personally as I have at several points in my life, found myself not attending church regularly or even at all. Whether it was because of life circumstances, not finding one that felt like “Home”, re-location or various other reasons, I was always reminded of this verse and out of my own guilt, attempted to find a church home in order to be a “good Christian”.  Let’s face it, this verse seems to be thrown around quite often in the Christian community when we learn of a brother/sister who is not attending church regularly and we feel the need to admonish them with “Thus Sayeth the Lord”.  I admit now that even though I’ve reacted in the flesh as a result of reading and hearing this verse, I always had a ‘nudge’ in my spirit.  If this verse is in fact to be taken as commonly interpreted, it poses a conflict with other scriptures as it creates a yoke of slavery/bondage which is something Messiah clearly destroyed for those who follow Him. In the freedom which Messiah has made us free, stand firm, then, and do not again be held with a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5:1 ISR 98 Continue reading

When called to the Blank Spaces

I’m just gonna be real, having a blank calendar causes all sorts of issues for me. I feel lost and although difficult to admit, often times unimportant. Having blank space on my calendar actually causes me anxiety and I am not quite sure what to do with myself during those times. You see, my nature is that of a list maker, a planner and as strange as it may seem I work best in the midst of chaos. I actually tend to function highly in stressful situations and reality is something inside me thrives on the craziness that a jam-packed calendar produces. Sure, a free night or weekend is most welcomed here and there…but what I am talking about is when you are in a season where God will not allow you to fill your calendar for months and in my case over a year, no matter how desperately you desire to. Names of The Father and The Son

You will see in my posts that I do not use the title God/Lord for The Father or the name Jesus for The Son. First let me state that I am NOT a part of the Hebrew Roots/Sacred Name movement or any other cult, denomination or sect that tends to go to extremes and place themselves in bondage by practicing something that resembles Judaism. I am simply a disciple of Messiah who desires to worship Him in spirit and in TRUTH. I am on a continuous journey, searching to understand more of the pure gospel, without the perversion of those that want nothing more than to blot out His name and lead us down a path of pagan and Babylonian religion.  I continue to ask The Father to lead me, through His Spirit to the truth daily and He is forever faithful to teach me. It is also important that I say up front, I am in NO way saying that if you were saved by calling on the name “Jesus” (as I was) that you are not truly saved for The Messiah knows your heart and your relationship with Him is what is imperative. We are all at different places in our journey for truth and many have come before us who were great men and women of Elohim who used the name they knew, which was Jesus. Knowing and using the true covenant names is a personal conviction of mine now that the Holy Spirit has shown me truth. Please pray to The Father for what He would have you do to honor Himself and His son, Messiah.

For years I have known that the Son of the Most High’s name could not truly be “Jesus” as that is an English name and common sense would say that when He walked this earth, his family, friends and disciples did not call Him by that name, for He was a Hebrew from the tribe of Yahudah/Judah. Awaiting His Return

Awaiting His return

Will He find you busy
When He comes to gather His bride

Or will He call you wicked
Full of selfishness and pride

He says give unto the poor and needy
For in this, you love Him too

Will you obey His greatest command?
For it’s up to you to choose

Indeed it matters what we do
In the here and now

For will your hands be idle
Or firmly grasping at the plow?

He gives us many lessons, in His Holy Word
But they are all unavailing; if in them we do not learn

The time is near, we must prepare
Our homes, our hearts, our land

Fear shall not overtake us
We find protection by His hand

Are You Ready?

Are You Ready?

He’s calling, can you hear him?
In the whisper of a gentle breeze and
in complete surrender on your knees.

He’s drawing hearts, can you feel it?
In the joy of the young & old and
In the transformation of your very soul.

He’s renewing, can you see it?
In the cold, fresh drops of rain and
in your very own depths of pain.

He’s healing wounds, do you believe it?
In the flowing tears of a beloved friend and
In the fervent prayers we all send.

He’s restoring, do you need it?
In the pouring out of His Holy Spirit and
In His promise we can expect it

He’s coming back, are you ready?
In His word He makes it very plain
In the twinkling of an eye, never the same
